Increase from 50% to 70% of CAP contribution advances, for a total value of over €1 billion; extraordinary redundancy payments for all agricultural workers and protections for seasonal workers without employment continuity; compensation for fixed-term agricultural workers; €50 million increase in the fund for the needy to ensure the distribution of food supplies, in addition to the €6 million already allocated in recent days for the purchase of raw milk, in agreement with the food waste committee;

Eni-Coldiretti Agreement

for energy in agriculture

Strengthening the role of energy in the service of agriculture: this is the goal of a collaboration agreement signed by Eni and Coldiretti, which includes joint initiatives in the fields of the circular economy and sustainable development. Eni will be able to supply its range of fuels and lubricants for agricultural machinery to members, consortia, and subsidiaries and affiliates of Coldiretti, along with other products with low environmental impact, biodegradable products, and those formulated with raw materials from renewable sources.

The recognition

of food as a value

This is the spirit behind the bill to combat illegal agri-food products. The reform, proposed by Minister of Agriculture Teresa Bellanova and Minister of Justice Alfonso Bonafede, has been approved by the Council of Ministers. The measure aims to strengthen the protection of Made in Italy products, geographical indications, and citizens, placing at its core "the recognition of the primary value of food identity, one of the founding elements of the Mediterranean diet, a world heritage." It increases the regulatory framework against illegal agri-food products, fraud, counterfeiting, and so-called agro-piracy. It also intends to modernize the enforcement system in the food production and distribution sector.
